St Richard's Hospice - New scanner supports dignity for hospice patients

St Richard’s Hospice recently received a £2,000 grant from The Hospital Saturday Fund towards the £8,949 needed to purchase a Bard-scan II Portable Ultrasound Bladder Scanner and extended warranty. Having secured the remaining funds they now have the scanner which uses ultra-sound waves to detect accurate levels of urine in the bladders of patients having difficulty passing urine or incontinence.
