Our Charity Reception 2015

Twenty-seven Scottish charities were chosen to receive a donation from the Hospital Saturday Fund at a special reception at the prestigious Banqueting Hall of Glasgow City Chambers on the 19th February. The event was kindly hosted by Baille Scanlon James on behalf of the Rt Hon Lord Provost of Glasgow (a vice president of the Fund) and Glasgow City Council. In total £100,000 was donated to charities at the event. Among the beneficiaries were the Universities of Aberdeen and Dundee who both received a donation to help fund their Medical Student Electives Programmes. Baille James Scanlon celebrated the extraordinary work of all the charities and our Patron Lesley Garratt helped present the cheques. The event was a great success and an opportunity for the charities to share information about their fantastic work and future projects. In 2015 The Hospital Saturday Fund will give £850,000 in donations to medical charities including hospitals and hospices across UK and Ireland.
